flyfinger, thanks for the post. I just read your post out loud to my wife! Thank God she hasn't learned how to text yet!![]()
Seriously though, I am glad that your neice is alright. Maybe the Good Lord was giving her a warning.

Got a call from my wife yesterday while me and MM were fishing the tournement. She said my young niece had an accident and totaled her car. It appears that she was speeding on one of our mountian roads, not wearing a seat belt, and texting on the cell phone all at the same time. Naturally, she lost control of the car and rolled it a couple of times. She was so blessed. She was not injured except for a sore sholder. The windshield was smashed, the back seat was in the woods, the hood and roof were flattened. But she managed to crawl out the window and get to the road where she flagged a car who helped her. So, all you folks out there with cell phones, when you are driving hang up the dang phone and concentrate on what is really important. There is no text message as important as your life. We just burried grandma, but thank God we did not have to burry Steffanie. Hang up and drive. Tight lines.
If you're too busy to go fishing, you're too busy!

Great post Dave. Here is a thought.. First off, don't text while driving... duh. Secondly, if you get a call while driving, just politely say, "Please call me back and leave me a voicemail and I will check it when I get (wherever)" and hang up the phone. (Just think, you have a secretary at your disposal and don't even have to buy her flowers for secretatry's day!)
I am guilty of this as well...! Thanks for posting and I'm SO glad she's ok! Seriously....God sent a few angels down that mountain with her, didn't he? Wow! I'll pray she has learned her lesson....MM
