Adventures of "Lil Stinky"

Well its happened. "Lil" finally caught her 1st crappie. It was 13" and took her a few minutes to get it to the boat, i kept thinkin its a gonner its gonna get off. But she got it to the boat and we got it in. What really **** me off is my own stupidity of not checkin the batterys, so what was a very large accomplishment in her life will have to remain stored in our minds. I'm pretty sure she will always remember it and I know that I'll always remember it, but still sure would have been nice to have a pic. I have created a monster, when it happened she said daddy my cork is goin under, i thought its just a lil perch, then she says daddy,daddy,daddy its really goin under I'm gonna jerk his lips off. I turn around and this cork was headed straight to the bottom, and the drag on the lil t11 was just singing. I was able to stiffen up her drag. The fight was on, she fought that big crappie for bout 5 minutes til she got it up, and in the boat. The only help i provided was to set her drag. I got it off the hook and she lipped it right over to the live well, The look on her face was the best thing about this weekend, i'll never forget her breathing hard and the big smile and her lipping that fish like daddy has so many times before. yep shes ruined but i wouldnt have it any other way. this fish will be swimming in lake crisco tonight

Congratulations Lil Stinky, she always remember this weekend. Glad y'all had a good weekend and she caught her first crappie, I know it won't be her last. And that's a heck of a start too, a 13 incher. WTG

Thats great! Both my girls were 5 when they caught there first. Stinky is 5 if I'm not mistakend? It must be the age!

SD thats great, nothing like the look on the face of a youngster when they latch on to one that will bend the pole... If I forget the camera, I usually use my cellphone to take them, just a pain to get them online to be able to post.
Tell her congrats and we are all proud of her.
