    Default Shallow water crappie

In one of the lakes I fish there are several canals that fluctuate with the lake level itself.
They are not connected to anything else, they all dead end. The normal level of these canals is around 3-4 ft deep and I usually have good luck catching crappie in them during this cold weather. Because of the lack of rain, they are around 1 1/2 to 2 ft deep. Will the crappie still go in them with the water this shallow?
