Crappie Camp has started off well with perfect Fall weather and the crappie biting.
I took a group of Crappie Campers out this morning and ended up with a nice mess.
The biggest one was 16-inches long and weighed 1-pound, 13-ounces!

I'll do my best to keep this Fall Crappie Camp 2007 page updated with current pictures if you want to see -- http://www.familyfishingtrips.com/Cr...mp2007Fall.htm
Did anyone ever get the "Grand sum total" of all participants this year? Best I can figure, there were about 30 or so people there. A great turnout and a ton of fun. I am looking forward to the spring camp! A big thanks to Jerry Blake and Darryl Moris for their continuous contributions to make this event such a success. I really enjoyed the "laidbackness" (if that isn't a word, then it is now) of this fall camp. It really seemed less hectic than the spring camp and it appeared to me that everyone enjoyed themselves. I was also one of the lucky ones that got to tag along with Jerry on Friday morning. The knowledge I gained from that trip will truly help me in my personal quest to become an accomplished crappie catcherman vs. a semi-accomplished crappie fisherman :D
Looks like you ALL had a blast. Congrats on a GREAT time! Sorry I couldn't be there, the Dallas Cowboys game was still fun even though they lost. Patriots are the real deal this year. MM
At one point on Sat. evening at the fish fry, I counted 31 people.
Jeff
A big
THANK YOU
to everyone that came and helped out with Fall Crappie Camp! We had some great food, great weather and I really enjoyed seeing old friends and meeting new ones. This was by far the easiest and most enjoyable Crappie Camp for me personally. I'm ready to set some dates for Spring Crappie Camp 2008!!!
My Father (the Baptist preacher) is still amazed at how well behaved we all are. My thanks go out to LA Stumpjumper for supplying him with coffee. We enjoyed having Bobber Watcher as a neighbor as well. But, the jury is still out on that Don fellow that he shared his site with. Dad said a prayer for you and your political choices.
And as usual Jerry and Darryl. Sharing way points gives us all some hope when we fish a new lake. You guys are the best. We managed to catch a few on our own Sunday morning.

I had a great time at crappie camp this fall. I caught more fish than I usually do, and got to see some friends, and met some new ones. The food was really good, thanks to everyone for making it a great fall crappie camp. Looking forward to spring camp now.
