I went & got some boo yesterday. I let my sticks set up overnite, & came home this afternoon & took this pic. yesterday when I put them in concrete they seemed a little more full than today. I'm gonna get these in the water either tonite or tomorrow. I had to make them sort of shorter, 'cause the water here isn't real deep. I'll be putting these in 6 feet of water or less. (which is the deepest part of this lake at this time of year) Did I do the boo right?

You did ok,. Randy. Those look just fine. I think the general consensus is that 3 ft. is tall enough. Everyone tells us that 3ft. beds work just well as taller ones. Let us know how they do. The fish should come to the boo in days, not weeks.

Good lookin' condos there Randy! Up here at Nimrod our flats run usually less than 10 feet deep. I thought about making some more of the bucket kind but short like the ones you made. I go by the bakeries in the grocery stores and they give me their clean icing buckets. I like them better because they are shorter and allows the cane to spread out a lot better. Not to mention that they haven't had any thing toxic in them like hydraulic fluid or something.

Thanks everyone, I'm gonna get them in the water tooo-niiite. The only thing this wound up costing me (outside of the concrete & gas to go get it) was a bunch of chigger bites. Gooch, I've got some buddies that still want to make some more of these, plus some mats, so I'll call you to come get the bryant boo. This came from a friends place outside of sheridan. It was in the woods a little bit, so the chigger factor was about a 8.5.

This building structure is new to me but hey I live not 3-4 miles from Hamilton so......

That's a great idea abou the icing buckets.... They'd be food grade and clean. Are there any issues w/ using plastic buckets in public lakes?.. just wondering. There's cane growing all over the place around here, too.

Just let me know when you want to come get it Randy. Think I found yet another source of boo this weekend. One of my wifes freinds is married to a guy that manages a ready mix plant about 2 miles from the house. He said they have acres of the large boo and I can get all I want. He also told me if I got my buckets ready, he would call me when they had extra concrete they were going to dump. He told me to come by this week and check it out so he can show me how to get to it if its outside of buisness hours. If I have lucked onto a boo patch at a concrete plant I will turn some local waters with no cover into something that looks like Lake Conway.
