So Far, No good. 4 Trips for a Beaver Lake Limit

I am convinced that to catch crappie consistently on Beaver Lake, one must be intermediate level or higher. It is not an easy lake for beginners to figure out. And I've heard others say this: that due to the unique underwater structures of the lake, along with the depth, they just don't behave the same as they do in lowland lakes like the ones in Central Arkansas, or places like Mississippi and Texas.

Anyway, I've been out 4 times in the last 3 weeks, for a total of 15 fish. I caught 4, 5, 3, and 3. Tried different spots and different depths, and nothing really changed. For the record, I grew up running trotlines for catfish and trolling for white bass, along with trout fishing. I did not get into crappie until I started watching some Richard Gene The Fishing Machine videos back in 2020.

The folks I've seen doing well were Rich-Boy Fishing (Livescope).

Good electronics help and livescope can make turn from bust to boom .

How about hiring a guide to get yourself a pattern started for that area?

Building some of your own brush piles has helped me gain confidence. Ozark Highland lakes are tough period. Folks who think crappie fishing is easy (anywhere) probably don’t crappie fish much.

I agree with what all the guys said especially the electronics. However even with good electronic you still need to understand where yo find fish with certain water levels and water temps. last but not least is what parts of the lake you're fishing? The upper lake has extremely clear water and in my opinion less bait fish. I am sending you a private message.

Read the fishing report from Lance Hughey. He’s on Crappie.con and on Facebook. Lance gives a great report for Beaver and is extremely knowledgeable about the lake. That should give you a start.
One thing I picked up on was you said you tried different areas. The only way I learn a new lake is to concentrate on a particular area and learn it. Topo maps should give you some ideas about creeks, etc.
