    Default Lake Erling info

I rarely get a chance to fish but when I do Erling is the closest option. Basically never catch anything but still beats work. Any pointers or information on where to start or what to start with, I hear it’s known for its crappie and we have caught a few, mostly large ones, just never more than one or two and never consistently!

They are still catching some on the bank. You may have to work hard for them, but they are still there. I'd fish as far back into the brush as I could get.

Its hard to keep up with the crappie when you don't get to go very often. Just go every chance you get and you will eventually figure them out. Good luck.

Erling lately is a tricky place to fish. They start biting when it’s rising after a rain, then they open the gates and drop it a foot and the fish shut down.
Also It’s quickly being taken over by the Giant Salvinia weed and Alligator weed.
