What's Your Flooded Lake Technique?

With all these flooded lakes I was wondering how different guys handle the conditions. For me, I like to wait about a week and let all the debris flow down the river and lake and the water clear somewhat. Then I like to fish over the flooded brush on the original bank line. I don't worry so much about seeing fish on my graph as much as keeping brush under me at all times. What do some of you folks do?
