I'll say no. I hope it did happen but I don't think its that easy. Also My friend said the catfish he caught last year were plum full of them things. I wonder if catfish can digest them? I need to find out.

I heard a rumor that the Zebra Mussels had died out in the Arkansas river, can anyone confirm that?

I doubt that they will ever die out.The Blue Catfish feed on Native mussles and Zebras also. The insides of the mussles are digested , but the shells pass through. That must make their bung holes sore as those shells are sharp edged !

I caught a 10lb blue cat out of Lake Austell near Wynne a couple of years ago and when I cleaned it a pile of mussle shells fell out. I was wondering how they could eat that many, and if they ever passed the shells. Found out they feed on them quite often.
hey catfish will eat any thing they can find.
