    Default Henry Gray/Hurricane Lake

Anyone fishing these lakes and doing any good? I've fished them a couple of times before but haven't seen any post on them in a while. Those lakes sure look like crappie lakes with all those cypress and tupelo trees.

I had a cabin in there by Mallard pond a few years ago untill it burned down. Mostly duck hunted out of it. Did do a little fishin but it was when the water didn't get up much and flood the lakes and they would get fished out or fished hard.

Always wanted to spider rig out in the middle of those lakes. If you go let us know how you do.

Those lakes do have crappie in them. I like Willow pond the most. Only problem is all the yo-yo hanging from every bush. But it is like that on all the lakes there.

I tried fishing it about a month ago.... Did not have much luck at all...

Of course it was tough fishing when boat full of mullets would come roaring in front of you every five minutes to check or hang a new yo-yo on the top you where trying to fish.

Gave up after a couple of hours.
