Catalpa Worms Wanted

I would like to purchase a few hundred of these little buggars when they appear this Summer. I grew up in Alabama and had worms on two trees in my backyard every year. I now live in Missouri where there are hundreds of trees around but NO WORMS. I would like to receive a couple of shipments of a few hundred worms this Summer so I can salt a couple of trees here.

Let me know if you have access to worms and are willing to send some to me. Just let me know when I might expect them and how much a few hundred will cost?

Any worms showing up in Hawg Country yet?

Hey , here in central Arkansas they show up around June most years. Not sure how to ship them and keep them alive. My son always gathers a bunch each summer. Wear out the Channel Catfish on them .:D Tell us how many and how to ship . We might be able to get you some later. I THINK IT WOULD BE .10 EACH + SHIPPING COSTS.

w e have raised 10000oooooooo of those big juicy fish.catching worms,at one time we the biggest producer around.We had over 4,000 trees but we no longer are able continue to work the worm trees ,but maybe I can get yousome to get started, there are a few tricks of the trade Ican help you with. My son works in the Knob at Whiteman maybe he can bring some on a return trip from home.

Wow! That would be great Crazy. I work at Whiteman also. I would appreciate any info you can share with me about them. I believe as long as they have the leaves they are happy.

What's the best way to preserve them. I know fresh and alive is probably the best. My grandpa used to drop them in boiling water in a big coffee can on an outside fish cooker. When they floated they were ready for the freezer.
I need to build me a cage to keep some for cat fishin'.

I have heard it is best to just put them in a ziplock bag with cornmeal and freeze them.
