I agree that it does not compare. It is entirely different technology. I still use side imaging but I have that back on the console. I use that to drive around to find structure I like and areas that hold fish. Live scope is for up front on your trolling motor. You use it while stopped or underway slowly by trolling motor power. Its like an underwater camera that can see thru muddy water, for crappie I have found its useful range is up to 60 feet. You can be stationary or moving and you have a live view of whats happening. With traditional sonar you have to be moving to get a picture and you cant point like a camera at what you want examine. BTW LiveScope is not panoptixs, that is Garmins older technology.
