Default Minnowman + 29 Crappie = RELIEVED MINNOWMAN!!!

Alright...shoot me already, no pictures...but great information. I took a little guidance from JT before heading out at 6 p.m. onto Beaver today in a buddies boat....we went around Hickory shallows (3 to 8 feet deep in about 4 to 9 feet of water) and TORE THEM UP!!! I was so pumped when I dropped a minnow under bobber stopper, went to rig up my jig pole, and BOOM....I was 15 fish into my 2 hr. rampage when I FINALLY tied on the jig....black/chtrse curltail...caught another 14 with the jig until we ran out of daylight...FINALLY a freezer with some fish in it!!! :D

We hit the water at 6 p.m. - left the water at 8 p.m. - all in all 14 out of the 29 kept....nothing over 12" but all about 10.5-11" one of them was a FATTY, almost 1.75 lbs...anyways, sorry for the no pics once again, this will be my last post...29 in 1.5 hrs total....that's 1 every 3 minutes....I got the fever again, and with no broken ankle or broken hip I'll be posting several times in the near future. Just wanted to update you all on my trip....fishing on BEAVER is hot, 14 boats leaving all at the same time, tons of stripers, whites, catfish, and crappie being caught in stationary locations....MM

After reading your post is sure doesent sound like your "relieved", it sounds like your about to go crappie crazy. Quit leaving that camera at the house and take us some pics. We need to see some pics of those Beaver slabs to get us fired up and ready for our gathering up there. I cant wait.

Looking forward to tommorows post with some PICTURES.

Sounds like you had a good time. It's sure nice when they cooperate.

    A bad day of fishing
beats a good day at work.

Yankee crappie, haha, nice!! I forget we are the Yankee Doodle Dandies from NWA. The front was moving through over our heads as we were catching them, is there a cold front moving through or what? It was nasty this morning here, rain come pouring down finally, much needed! I am not going to be able to get out again until Saturday or Sunday.....stinks! MM

OOOOHHH! If it's pictures you need to get fired up, never fear, minnowman is here.....I have got the pictures I just have not posted them. Last night was the first trip I don't have pictures saved on a digital camera, I am just really busy most the time and when I come home I NEVER remember to load those pictures from camera to computer.....I might have my ole' lady get this done for me tonight if I can....hopefully I'll be able to put some up of my two trips last week, one to lake Fayetteville where we caught about 40.....yessir! I can't wait for Crappie Camp on Beaver either, going to be a B L A S T !!! MM

Nimrod, you got that right! Addictive is an understatement, obsession more like! You have to remember I am the one that was down on the couch for over 7 months with a broken ankle then immediately after that a shattered hip, ouch! So just to be up and about is a good deal to me...crappie fishing on top of that is extraordinary! Fish fry is tonight...I'm cooking up a MUCH anticipated recipe by Darryl Morris, the bacon wrapped crappie....mmmm!! Thx for your post! MM

Yes, it is....do you know what it's like to have them NOT cooperate?

We all see the slabs you continually rip out of the water, it's the hat man, it's the hat!!! :D

    Thanks, MM
