    Default Little Maumelle 3-24-07

In-laws came down from Missouri for a little Crappie fishing. My wife, daughter, neighbor and the in-laws went yesterday afternoon for a little bit and we all went back at them this morning. Water was 66-70 degrees. Could not find any on the banks but tore them up in the cypress trees including the 2lb 8oz big fish of the day (of course I caught it). Yesterday caught a couple of nice green carp (if there is such a thing). Going to give them a break (and drop a few in some hot oil) this evening but hit them again in the a.m. I caught the big one but Mother-in-law took us to school on the most. Forgot to get a good count before we cleaned them.

Saw LR Joe and his fishing partner, said they tore them up as well. Maybe we can get him to post some pics.

The big one of the day.

Neighbor and daughter with green carp (started to throw all three in the water)

    Ice chest close to full

Wife smilling big getting to fish with "Daddy"

Nothing better than fishing with Granddad.

Two of the nicer ones. Can't wait to get at them in the morning.

Hope everyone had a good day on the water.

Just got a belly full of fish. Thought I would add this one. Can you smell it?

Jigs tipped with a nibbler. Just about any color you wanted to throw at them. Tried my hardest to make them want a pink minnow, but did not have a single bite on minows today.

Nice pics. Nice catch and the dinner looks great. Is that the goocher's hushpuppy recipe? Looks like you had a great family day, keep them close there is never enough of those days.

Helmsclaw that picture of the dinner table will be the best one of the day other than that highpowered bass fisherman. Have a good day and God Bless
