Reelfoot lake is full of carp and is experiencing the best Crappie fishing it’s ever had. The river oxbows in Greenville MS are full of carp and Plenty of Big Crappie are there also. The carp are here to stay, but the Crappie and game fish are as well. We as fishermen will have to adapt like the gamefish have.

Ok, I'm wrong again. Dang.
Not wrong and didn’t mean to imply that. It’s a pain to deal with them, but there’s no reason not to fish the oxbows. We’ve just got to get used to dealing with the problem and adapt to it. It isn’t going away in our lifetime.

Adapt, improvise, overcome. Got it. Ya'll do that, I'm going where there aren't any while I can.
See what you started Gomer.
Grew up at midway on the weekends. Parents had a cabin. I remember cooler fulls of big bream and catfish from trot lines. I went crappie fishing 2 years ago and not a bite between 4 boats. Mr Lynn Perry and his wife used run the campground. Fond memories as a young kid running around!!

Mr. Lynn's wife was Mrs Ruby. Her father was Mr Ed Delap. He founded
Ed's camp. I also spent a lot of time there as a kid. My parents would drop us off there on Friday afternoon and plck us
up Sunday afternoon. We would take sandwich meat and a 3 horse Scott Attwater motor. If it rained Mrs Ruby would loan
us a place to sleep dry.
