Angry Bull Shoals still too cold

Fidhed Bull Shoals (Jimmy Creek) area and got only one really big bluegill. :D The water is still 49-52 depending on which side of the lake you are on and I was on both trying to get out of the wind. Got my anchor hung in the rocks and had to put the trolling motor on 5 and drive across it to pull it free. They were reporting that walleye were on the banks but you couldn't prove it by me. We fished jigs, worms, minnows and meal worms, nothing worked but us. But that's why they call it fishing. I think in another week with the air temp in the 70's the white bass will be jumping in the boat at Sugarloaf. Hope to get my share.

Hey Dave, they've got to pick up sooner or later....maybe sooner, since the water should warm up quickly with this weather. I may need to head up that way and join the crappie search team...I also wouldn't mind getting into a mess of walleye either...never have caught one...

You just head on up. It don't take long to gas the boat and get over there. I never caught a walleye either , I hear they are good fighters. I am sure the white bass will be up real soon. I have not seen them school under bait fish yet, but it can't be far away. Seriously, if you want to come up don't bring your boat, we can use mine, and if you want to spend the night I have a RV parked in the front yard you can use. I'd be honored to go fishing with you anytime.:D

FlyFlinger and CEB, I tell you what...Beaver Lake doesn't hold a ton of BIG walleye to my knowledge, but I've been catching some early runners up the river about 18" long or so....not too bad....I bet 'shoals is about to EXPLODE with fish all over the place...I'll keep my fingers crossed for you....Good luck!
