Default Attackof the Sugar Ants!!!! (HEEEELP)!!!

Does anybody know a VERY effective (hopefully cost efficient) way to get rid of Sugar ants? They have come back this year to my house with a colony I'd say is about 20 times bigger then last year already! I know this isn't about fishing, but I figure with all the knowledge on the Arkansas board surely one or two might have the answer? Thanks! MM

    Default ants

Terro worked for me in Florida. Comes in little plastic tubs. Its a liquid. You can get it in the Garden area at Wal Mart. Takes a couple of days to work. They carry it back to the nest and it kills the whole outfit. Not expensive. $4 or $5.

tempo, comes in liquid and powder forms. mix liquid and spray around outside of house or foundation, or remove drawers and sprinkle powder form in backs of cabinets

VERY effective, a little pricey but it works

you can get it at a farmer's co-op or locale farm store

I fight them every year also. Terro is good stuff. Also, I spray the yard hard with termite spray, this keeps them away until the following year.

I used Boric Acid. Get it at the hardware store. Mix with a lillte grape jelly and make a bait. They will take it back to the queen. Works well around the house for other bugs. Someone told me that's what the powder was that the bugs guys use.

You can read all about it on the web.

Terro has worked for us on sugar or grease ants. Takes a few days and they all come to the Terro, then all of a sudden they are history.
