Therapy, fishing is such good therapy.
Seeing CP's post " we are winning" made me think of the following ;
Shortly after I was released from the hospital, after my double lung transplant, I asked my doctor when I could resume fishing, he said "today, but you can't bait the hook or take the fish off", they were concerned with bacteria because of my compromised immune system. I told my wife, "you are going to be a busy girl". Just a little while later I heard the crappie were in shallow in a cove where the marina was. We went over with our poles and some minnows. I had my respiratory face mask on, sitting in a camp chair. My wife baited me hook up with a minnow and I quickly hauled in a crappie which she also took off and baited the hook again. A man was fishing by a stump just up the cove from us and had watched all this happen. I looked at him and remarked, "she sure is a good wife isn't she", he replied "she sure is", but he did not know the entire story. My wife and I had a good laugh.
