My luck ran out today

Man that is a great catch. I have to try the RR one day. I've just never been much on casting.

Hey Jerry, at least they weren't completely gone. It's just the weather conditions wouldn't let you fish for 'em. Hope you get a chance to get back out there soon.

Maynard, I fish the roadrunner by casting with a fairly slow retrieve. I like to fish over structure and swim the bait just over the structure. If the structure is fairly deep I'll let the roadrunner sink, counting down before I retreive. If very deep I'll add a split shot a few inches above the bait to get it down faster. I use a slow retrieve with a little twitch every now and then to make sure the spinner is spinning. When you go to Morgan Point send me a PM and I'll point you in the right direction.
