My family and I will are staying on Lake Hamilton 7/9-7/12. We are staying at a little place called Knollwood Lodge. I'm not taking the boat but we will probably rent a pontoon from one of the marinas one day to pull the kids around on a tube.

Coming from out of state so my wife can experience the Hot Springs. Plan on being down there around the 3rd week of July. We have a place we are staying on Lake Hamilton. Never fished it and was seeing if I can get a little info on how to fish it. I would prefer the crappie report but any fish will do. Thanks for any help.

I got 350 heads on a 305 engine.
I get 6 miles to the gallon.
I aint got no good intentions.
Hamilton gets an awful lot of boat traffic in the summertime. I stay far away in the summer.
i prefer to fish below Carpenter Dam. You never know what you'll catch.

HA HA this time of year if your are fishing on Lake Hamilton you can limit out on ski boats, pontoon boats, jet skis, water skiers, knee boarders, and intertubers, in just a few minutes.
Welcome to the home of the, boat eating, trolling motor busting, prop bending, lower unit smashing, stump filled mud hole called Lake Conway.

If I were looking for crappie this time of year on Hamillton I would look for docks close to the channels with brush in 15' or more of water. Pitch a jig under a slip cork to the darkest areas you can reach, even if there is a boat in there.
