    I'm new to the site and crappie fishing.

    I believe its a man-made structure that takes the place of a brush pile. Made of PVC pipe, concrete, wire, 2x4s, paint buckets, etc. The part I find most interesting is that they're made so as not to get hung up in. The condos will grow algae on them, the smaller fish will feed on the algae, then crappie will feed on the smaller fish. A win win situation. I've never built one but have seen a few posted on this site. Some are huge, and are just awesome.
