This weekend, I was supposed to take some family and friends floating and camping for my birthday. The weather scared us off from taking the kids camping, so a last minute plan B was to take the kids on a day trip to one of my favorite creeks in the state for some catching (not fishing). Fortunatly water conditions were percfect (Nice flow and good color to the water) and fish of all species were hungry. Everyone caught fish and a bunch of them. We caught over 100 fish. We caught Smallmouth Bass, Ozark Bass, Green Sunfish, Longer Sunfish, and a couple of Largemouth Bass. The fish weren't huge, but that didn't matter to the kids. One of the highlights was fishing an Ozark Bass spawning bed and being able to sight fish the Ozarks off their bed in a small area that was adjacent to the riffle with a slight velocity break. We caught 6 of the biggest Ozarks I have ever seen caught in that creek. It was one of my favorite birthdays that I can remember. I will let the pictures tell the rest of the story...
This is my favorite picture. My Jr fisherman telling a fishing story about how big of a fish Daddy just caught.
