    Default Grand Lake

Hello, Ronnie T. I too am interested in fishing Grand Lake at Eudora. I have never fished it before, but I took a look at it about a weeke ago. I sure hope someone with recent experience there posts in response to your question.

Have you fished Grand Lake before? What was it like, if you mind my asking? Thanks. bryophyte

Hey RonnieT, welcome to the site, I'm in Monticello. I haven't fished Grand before, but would really like to this year. It was really low last year but should be back up with all the rainfall. Do you ever fish Felsenthal, that really looks like it would be some good crappie fishing.

    A bad day of fishing
beats a good day at work.

Welcome to the forum, Ronnie. Lots of good information and reports can be found here. If there's any information about crappie that you would like to know, just click on the search bar at the top. I'm pretty sure that you'll find it. There's also lots of good information that can be found here... http://www.crappie.com/tips.html

I'm not too familiar with the southern lakes. With the spawn getting closer, those southern AR lakes will warm up quicker than ours up here. So be sure to give us a good report if you decide to hit Grand or Old River Bed. With our central AR reports, we will all be able to follow the spawn from north to south. CEB -

It's been a few yrs since I fished Grand . Late Feb & March is usually the best. It has some slabs. The wind gets nasty on this lake so use caution.

Ronnie T. By saturday grand lake could be hot. The lake warms quickly and ususally after a few warm days (like this week) males will begin to move up. There are a couple of coves that crappie begin to move into during Feb. every year. Also, there is a dock on the lake that is a sink for crappie. Just follow the boats there about two hour before dark. Some days you catch none there, then the next you may catch 50.

    Default Grand Lake this weekend

Hey, THANKS, brgolden. We sure look forward to hearing from you about Grand Lake. I do hope the wind will give you a break; it has been just terrible down here of late. Tomorrow looks pretty tough as well, but maybe the weekend will be nice to you. Have some fun!
