Default Tracker Pro Crappie Rod Holders

Anybody have any information on a rod holders that will mount to the railing of a Pro Crappie without tearing it up?

I noticed in my Alumaweild, that they had installed a false inside bulkhead giving about a 4" gunnel. This was then carpeted, then rod holders were installed in the false bulkhead. This also allowed the wiring harness for the forward electronics to run behind the bulkhead and out of the way. I don't know if this could be done in your bass boat, without some weilding. But it could be an option. You do give up about 10" of inside room but only in the well between the raised platforms. Does this make sense?

I forgot that Cabella/s and Bass Pro both have a clamp on type of rod holder, that is not the cheap ones that Walmart sells. I don't know if they woudl mark your boat or not. But they look pretty stout and are adjustible (up, down and side to side).

Slabbandit posted on the main forum some pictures of his rig on a sticksteer type boat. I am very impressed with the rod running the length of his boat, then the rod holders clamp to them. It is very similar to the way Jerry and Darryl have their holders.
I am studying my boat to see how I can utilze the same system.

Hey Milkweed, here is that post about the rod holders... http://www.crappie.com/gr8vb3/showthread.php?t=34320

It really depends on what type of fishing you are wanting to do. If you want to anchor/still fish/nightstalk/hover with rods out, then the method above is best.

If you want to spider-rig, then you are going to need something in the front to do it correctly. This post should give you lots of ideas... http://www.crappie.com/gr8vb3/showthread.php?t=19810
