Default Big fish of the day!

I got off work a little early today, & loaded up & fished from 2:45 till right at 6pm. I caught 7 crappie & 3 green carp. made a nice mess. Here is the biggest fish of the day.

The water made it up to 53 degrees today. I noticed that the wind was out of the northeast today, and most of my fish were caught on the south bank. Makes sense I guess, since the warm surface water was being pushed up on the south bank. caught most of my fish off cypress knees next to a tree. Caught them on ol' skip's thump it jigs. black head, chartreuse hair. skiptomylu has some good jigs.

    Nimrod,
Jim Shirley asked me if I knew a "Junior Douglas". I told him I didn't know your name, but you had asked me if I knew Jim. For everyone else, Jim lives here on my lake. The funny part is, Jim told me "don't you post any pictures of those big crappie", 'cause he doesn't want anyone to know about his honey hole. You should call him up, and tell him you saw some decent fish coming out of mound lake. That will get him fired up. Tell him you're coming down to fish with him. Some folks want to keep their favorite fishing spots a secret.

It looks like we are gonna get washed out & blown away this weekend, and calm down just in time to go back to work. arrrrggghhh.
