Lake Conway clean up is a huge success...

The effort displayed yesterday from the volunteer group that assembled to help clean the banks, shorelines and lake area was outstanding.

Our day began about 6:15 am and continued throughout most of the day where over 90 commercial bags of debris was cleared from the area. That's a lot of styrofoam, insulation, paper, etc! Literally, you spent hours in a very small area filling up bag after bag.

The area south of the 89 bridge and on the north bank from highway landing to where the houses start on hwy 89 is as clean as I have ever seen it.

I can't thank all of you enough for your efforts and you are the reason this site is what it is today. I tried to speak to everyone yesterday but if I didn't get a chance to personally thank you yesterday, just know that I really do appreciate what you did.

As promised, my 7 year old daughter woke early this morning waiting to draw the prizes to be given away. So we did and without further rambling here they are:

Thanks Midsouth man,D10,Crappie Pro,(Crappie Greg)(guided(1st time on Conway) us to the spot) and others we met Would have liked to stayed longer!! Will be back with (Buzzbait and crappie jigs)!! Might have to go for some of those flatheads we saw pulled out of lake conway)!! May the sore backs and other heal for another day!!!

WOW!!! $100.00 worth of Midsouth Jigs. And found out on my birthday. Ohhh the summer crappie on Conway are in real trouble. It was fun seeing everybody and helping clean the lake up. I think we should do this more often. Just a general get together cook out/clean up one or two times a year. Yes big thanks to HWY landing and the folks who grilled the dogs and thanks for the Daylight donuts Dennis. Make sure you tell that Lil Girl... thank you for drawing my name out of the hat for those jigs. Got me a new lucky charm.

Thanks to all who showed up...and participated. I really liked how the AFGC were running the debris to the dump site for us and allowing us to stay on the banks and work. Thanks Guys.
