Default Nightstalk results from Lake Conway

Things were pretty slow as far as fishing went, but the fellowship was top notch. Gooch cooked us all some burgers and Darryl supplied the crappie dip. (Quite the concoction I might add.) A great big thanks goes out too gooch and ceb for putting this on. Looks like monthly nightstalks are a great possiblility, so everything start thinking about where they would like to hold one. Looks like a Lake Maumelle stalk will "eventually" take place as well as a Darryl Morris special on Lake Hamilton. Here a a couple of pics of our catch and one of our better fish.

    Good Morning Guys

What a great night. It was good to meet all of you guys and put faces to handles. Funny how you can remember handles better than names. But then I have always had trouble remembering names. Anyhow, I want to thank you all for the invite and a big thanks to Bobberwatcher for letting me tag along in his boat. I learned a lot, and when I get a boat I have a pretty good idea what I want to do to make it stalkable. The final count was 14 crappie and one big white bass. They are waiting thier turn in the Fry Daddy along with some hush puppies. Thanks again fella's, hope to do it again sometime. Remember, if you ain't the lead dog, the scenery never changes.

Well guys I had a blast yesterday. Other than the wind I dont think I could have enjoyed it anymore if we had loaded the boat with fish. Thanks to all that brought food to contribute to the cook out and drove so far to join us. We took in 70.00 yesterday twards the next nightstalk, so next time no one will need to bring anything. Well flyfinger you can go ahead and have your wife make some of that heavenly dessert, and Darryl you can bring some crappie dip. Other than those guys nobody needs to bring anything.

CEB, Slipcork and I will continue to brush up the Little Maumelle in hopes we can have a stalk out there in the near future. If any other folks have an idea for another nightstalk location let us know. Little Maumelle, Maumelle, Hammilton, and Nimrod have been kicked arround so far.

Thanks again to all that came in such adverse conditions. It was a pleasure to meet, fellowship and fish with so many guys with obvious class and character.

Sounds like everyone had a good time. Too bad the weather and the fish didn't want to co-operate with yall. But look at it like this. "It can only get better"

I thoroughly enjoyed visiting with everyone, & really like the layout of that gold creek area. I'll be back to fish it soon. Thanks gooch & CEB for hosting & ram-roddin' the get together.

Sounds like the first night-stalk was a lot of fun. I hate that I missed it but count me in later down the road.

Glad everyone had a good time and thanks for the pictures. Nice looking fish. I was wondering how bad the wind was going to mess yall up. Me and Slab Hunter went to Larto and the wind got pretty bad by that afternoon but we (meaning mostly Randy) did manage to catch a nice mess.

    Default good job

My thanks goes out to Gooch, Ceb, and Slipcork for organizing the evening. I wished I could have put yall on some fish out there. But, if they ain't biting, they ain't biting. Normally shad are popping the water everywhere; even in the creek.
If it had not have been for the oportunity to see old freinds, meet and make new ones, Saturday would have been one of those days that I put the boat back up and went back to bed and find a spot to warm my hands up.

    Hey Gooch
My wife, Lesa says thanks for complement on her eclair cake. I'm sure I can get her to make another for the next stalk. Hope to have a boat by then. You did a great job cook'n those burgers. We'll have to come up with a longer handle meat flipper or get you an asbestos glove. Take it easy and don't work too hard.
