Today a old couple must have been trying their boat out. They were making circles in the lake and going right over humps covered in big stumps!I asked them if they knew where they were going. They said yea to my truck. They are real lucky as there are big stumps inches under the surface!
They then put the boat on the trailer and pull up the ramp. But the boat falls off half way up ! Some people need to stay off the lake for their own safety.
When the lake is at 342 you better know where your going on Nimrod. There are so many that just think it's deep and can run anywhere. But a few learn the hard way every year. When they bring it up later to 345 it's safe as most stumps are atleast 3' under.

If you're too busy to go fishing, you're too busy!
That is good info to know. Too many people drown from not taking boating seriously enough. I duck hunt on the st. francis and every year a couple of boats turn over and several more bust props or knock holes in their boat from people going too fast on water they are not familiar with. When in doubt....slow down!......By the way how did they get there boat loaded back up and did they say anything about it falling off?
The front of the boat was still on a bit. The ding-a-ling just backed up till boat was 3/4 the way on and then winched it up. Still wonder'n how bad it hurt the boat.![]()
