Man isn't it IRONIC! My son and I were standing on the bank yesterday evening of farm reservoir fishing the algae the last hour of daylight. Bass we just blowing up the frogs but they weren't the only thing!!! My son never even said he had anything on his pole and I was watching the top water I was using and when his bullfrog got his legs on dry ground it leaped and hit me n the leg! Man!!!!! Scared the crap outa me! I Thot Mr NO SHOULDERS done got me! My son grabbed his belly he was laughing so hard!!!! We laughed about it all the way home! He was definitely proud of his catch!!! Let me tell ya guys that like fishing topwater. My son and I use the same frog. He almost never misses a fish on his Zebco. I use a heavy action rod with braid and I miss 50% of what I catch! I'm thinking about going back to the basics when it comes to poles and frog fishing!

Man look at the smile on his face! Those times are priceless! I cant wait for my little girl to get old enough to hit he water with me! One of the many things Im looking forward to!

Man he is growing like a weed! Amazing how much they learn in a weeks time when they are this age. From week to week im like "Man.....How old are you!" It feels as if you are talking to a grown man when you speak to him. When he meets someone for the first time....He will walk up to em and shake their hand and start talking to them as if he has known them for a lifetime. He is my little buddy for sure! He is making it hard for me to schedule fishing trips with other people without him. He wants to tag along EVERYTIME.

Never fish a top water, but my guess on him better at hooking up is that his reflexes are just a little slower than yours and it allows time for the fish to eat the bait. Then again, he may just be a better fisherman
