Not to say anyone would deliberately exaggerate the weight of a fish but sometimes out crappie get cooler shrinkage so to speak. So here is a great system I found to keep up with your fish on tournament day and also a very accurate scale so there are no about this much weight. I found this on Tackle Warehouse web page and it work great especially on tournament day. As soon as the fish is landed it gets weighed then the appropriate colored tag put in its mouth and put in live well then the weight is recorded on the corresponding color or number on the recorder box. No more recording on phone, notepad, or memory which for some of us is not so great anymore. The scale also measures in 10ths of the pound so it is very accurate. My partner and I used it on several CACA tournaments and also at 2 Crappie Masters tournaments and it was accurate to about a 1oz each time. it great to have on hand whether you are a tourney guy or just a fisherman who loves to better his best fish from last trip. Every minute lost not fishing is a possible lost crappie so use this cool tool to help maximize your fishing time on water not playing with fish in live well to find your best seven.

    Default The Scales Never Lie

    That's a Nice scale.

I like the Rapala touch screen better tho. Keeps the fish's individual weights and Total Creel Weight on up to 8 fish. The 15lb per fish model is more accurate on crappie than the 55lb model and weighs both pounds and ounces or pounds and 10ths of an ounce like tourney scales.
