Slab had a contest a while back for the best home made rod racks. Here are mine. Even won a nice package of Bobby Garland jigs. Neat think about this is they are out of the way and also easy to get to. Depending on how wide your door is, they will hold up to 16 ft rods. Longest I have are 12 feet.
I got all the hooks from Lowes. I bought a can of the vinyl dip you use to coat your pliers or other tool handles and coated the J hooks that the rod rested on, I was afraid it might wear the shaft. Probably overkill.

I added one more section after these pictures were made for a total of 12 rods. Could add 4 more, but I have all my shorter rods on the side wall.
He said he got everything at Lowes

Lowe's, but most any hardware store should cary them. They are with the u-bolts. The smaller hooks are the "Command Strip" stick on hooks like you use in the house for pictures, etc. I added them because the tips of the longer rods flapped around when I put the door up and down.
I took rod with me to get just the right size u-bolt for the handle.
Good ideas guy
