Fishing/lodging Central Arkansas

I am looking for a place to come fishing in central Arkansas which has lodging near or on the water. I want to come so I can take my grandkids fishing, but would like to find a place where I can stay, charge my batteries, so I can fish a day before taking them to get a feel for the lake. I was looking at Lake Conway, always thought those cypress trees would be good fishing but anywhere in central Arkansas as they live in Benton. I really don't care what kind of fish, just like to be able to find something easy to catch so the kids have fun. It would be June or July time frame. Thanks in advance.

From Benton to Lake Conway is about 35-40 minutes. There are also at least 4 other lakes within about that kind of drive. If there is a place for you to keep your boat where the grandkids live that would put you centrally located to having many options. There are also great Lakes that are just a little further drive, withing 1 1/2 hours. Ouchita, Degray, Dardanelle, Nimrod, Catherine, Hamilton ect, ect. Hope you can get the grandkids on some fish.

In that timeframe nimrod wil be hot as a tater! If you can geta jig to disappear in the water you can catch a crappie there!
