I catch more bluegill than crappie so wimpy be good for me
Yea the dilemma for me is i prefer the bgjp but have had a half dozen front half replacements and several other rods that differentiate in length from being re-tipped. The ozarks are just too wippy for me but im ready to try something diff so may cave and try it.
I use the Grizzly Elite from Grizzly Jig. They come in 10', 11' or 12'. I fish lots of cypress and lots of pads during the summer. Great sensitive rod with enough muscle to swing fish in the boat and I am constantly jabbing the tip into the jig to get it unhung from cypress roots or pad stems. I did break a tip once about 7 years ago but no rod will take the lid of the Rod box being slammed on it. Last one I bought was $49.95 for the 12 foot if I remember correctly.

OZARK has TWICE the backbone than the BGJP.!!!!
Ozark rods are great! If you want something stiffer, try a Todd Huckabee rod.
A friend gave me a Ozark Tony Edgar 10 foot rear seat, and it is really whippy, like a bugger whip. I can't see lifting a large crappie into the boat. I like the 10 ft. Sam Heaton, and I never lift them out of the water, I always use the net, or lip em, your poles will last a lot longer that way. :fish
