That is a beautiful knife. Not being a knife maker, I would think a fillet knife would be the hardest to make just because of the thinner blade. It all looks great.

RCC, you are correct about a fillet knife being a challenge. The way I do it the profile is cut out and then the steel gets heat treated. In the heat treat process I set the inside of the steel up for toughness and durability. Then harden and temper it. After its hardened the bevels and taper is ground on a 2"x72" belt grinder. This is where the difficulties are, grinding builds heat and if the steel turns any color the temper is ruined. Also keeping everything straight and setting it up to flex evenly. I spend 3-4 times the amount of time at the grinder on a fillet knife as I do a forged hunter.
