I dread Turkey Season now...Them suckers always end up flying into my eye and let me tell you, it burns, hurts, and eye swells almost shut. Never have any problems with them biting me though.

Just deep breath with your mouth open and catch as many as you can, they are a good source of protein.

Went to lake Charles last year. Same thing. Without reapplying the vanilla extract every hour they would drive you off the lake.

I haven't either until last year. They seemed to like my elbows and backs of my arms. Welped up and itched like chiggers for days afterwards.

Got into em a couple of years ago. Went to Walmart in the camping section an got me a couple of those head nets and put in the boat.

Do not spray OFF repellent near your electronics. It will cause white specks on the housing. May be preventable if you notice it and immediately wipe down.

Most bug repellants will dissolve plastics !

vanilla works, just watch out when using it at White River Refuge when the water goes down. Old Blackie bear may track you up! Lol
