    Default Rod holder suggestions

I'm about done piecing everything together for my spider rig setup, I've got a rod rack for the boat, found a great deal on 8, 14' Capps and Coleman rods with reels and am down to the last piece. The thought of $120 a rod holder for drift master T-250's is a bit much. Anybody use the hi-tek rod holders? $70 is much more reasonable. If not what would you suggest for a good bang for your buck holder?

Yes I love my hi-tek. Have both the t-bar's and individuals which I like better. With hi-tek I think you can call and have them made to a specific height. You would have to call and ask about it. It may cost a little more.

I had the hi-tek's on my old boat and driftmasters now. Wish I still had the hi-tek rod holders.

I have some Hi Tek's I picked up at a good price used. Just changed out bolts for knob handle bolts and they work well for me and I like them. Lots of guys like the Spyder Loks and for good reason, they are very nice.

If you get hi tech I'd get the deep v ones. I've got a friend who has the the regular ones and we can't side pull with them because the rod will come out. I've had drift masters and now have spider loks I like them both but prefer the spider loks. You can side pull off either without a problem.
