Greers Ferry
Heading up there in April I have never really fished it, any pointers on where to go to get away from the recreational skiers and PWC

Nimrod posted this last month. If they keep lowering it you won't have any trouble there will be trees sticking up everywhere just get in amongst them and be careful motoring around the lake there are trees everywhere in that lake but most people motor over them and are clueless of their existence. It's actually scary seeing people pulling their kids on skis and tubes in areas I fish knowing what's just under the surface. I think the upper end is better for fishing Middle Fork, South Fork, and Devils Fork will probably be your best bet. With all of that said there will still be plenty of idiots out there, especially on the weekends, and it's hard to get totally away from them.

We will continue a drawdown of Greers Ferry Lake this week to lower the lake to complete the rehabilitation of a hydropower turbine intake gate.
The lake will be drawn down, to possibly as low as elevation 457, during the next 12 to 14 days. Depending on the weather, the Corps will hold the lake at this level for six to eight weeks to complete the work.
During the drawdown, boat dock owners are advised to keep an eye on their docks and move them as needed to prevent them from grounding as the lake recedes. Boaters should exercise extreme caution because submerged stumps and shallow areas will be more prominent.
Also, boaters should be cautious when launching because of damage or sediment build up that may have occurred at the ends of the ramps. It is impossible to determine which ramps might be affected.
During the drawdown, rangers will be actively patrolling the lake for unauthorized off-road vehicle use. Unauthorized operation of motorized vehicles around the shoreline and on the lakebed is strictly prohibited.
