Spider rigged Lake Charles once. All you needed was a pink jig head. No minner, no nibble, no jig, just the pink jig head. We caught a zillion about 7 1/4" and paper thin, and that is all I'm saying about that lake.

Do you have disi on your boat because once you find the brush piles with fish on them it's like the Indians circling the cowboy camp and you don't need no fire water. So be ready to put them in the live well.Attachment 228891That's spider rig caught.
I have begun to love me some spider rigging. I like to fish open water and sit back and relax. My wife comes along sometimes to sun bathe and read a book :fish
My thoughts are this, I have never spider rigged or pulled long lines so I would like to try it. The closest I have come to either is setting the boat to drift with the wind with a rod in each hand. We caught over 200 that day between 3 of us.
I frequent several other forums that Pac is on and feel confident that he will figure it out. Hopefully one day I will get a chance to hunt or fish with him.
