Arkansas River crappie fishing south of pine bluff

any of you guys ever done much crappie fishing on Arkansas river late winter early spring? any advice would be greatly appreciated

The river can be tough here. Limits don't come easy but there is some nice fish to be had. In the spring the crappie will migrate up the creek arms and into the back waters and also along the river jetties usually on the down current side. Coal pile at times can give good fish. There is also Swan lake by rising star that has nice fish in the spring spawn. Also don't forget where bayou meta comes into the river down around Pendleton. The back water there has some good fishing too.
