Game warden story, THEY GOT ME

I was duck hunting on the famed flooded timber Cache river area in Arkansas one year it was back when Bill Clinton was president. Being that it is a Federal Waterfowl area this launch area is normally full and you must get there very early to get a good spot to hunt. We showed up at our usual 4am to launch and we were VERY surprised to find that we were the first ones there on this day. We launched the boat and proceeded to get the best spot and set our decoys out and wait for shooting light.
We never heard another boat and we where very surprised. We double checked that the season was in, it was, and just thought well no one was hunting that morning. The 6 of us had a great morning shoot and about 9am we finally heard a boat coming our way, when the boat got into site we saw that it was 2 Federal game wardens. We all unloaded our guns anticipating getting checked by them. Sure enough they checked our licenses, duck stamps, plugs in our shot guns, steel shot and our ducks we killed and all was well....we thought... Then they informed us that Congress failed to fund the yearly budget and that all Federal Properties where closed for hunting. We all got tickets for tresspassing on Federal land but the warden said that we would probably get the tickets thrown out in court, so we picked our stuff up and left. Later that night I get a phone call from one of my hunting partners and he said he was just contacted by the Federal Marshal and that the wardens we were stopped by were found floating down river and had been shot and OUR names where the last in his ticket book. He said they would be contacting all of us for questioning.... I FREAKED OUT!!! I get another phone call within a half hour from another of our partners saying the police had just left his place and where headed over to talk to me next. About an hour later a police car pull into my drive way and an officer rings the bell. I greeted him at the door and asked him to come in. I close the door and head to the living room to talk with the officer and my door bell rings again, I go open the door and its my hunting partners LAUGHING THIER A$$ES OFF!!!!!!The officer was a friend of one of my buddies and he was in on it. I WAS ABSOLUTELY SCARED TO DEATH and I have to admit THEY GOT ME!!!

Great stunt atleast for them . Here I thought it was crappy to lock us out of boat ramps we had paid a yearly fee to use . We should have been able to use boat ramps that we had paid to use .
