Bank fishing can be good for Crappie, and in Mar. - White Bass and LM Bass. Just walk the banks and throw a Bettle Spin - 1/32 oz. Fishing the lake at the Saline river end in Feb/March can also be good for slab crappie. As far as "gators" I'v only seen one, don't worry about them. Below the dam fishing for White Bass can be good in Mar. Cat's all the time. Also you can "jerk" fish for "spoonbills". LM Bass fishing is also very popoular on the lake - lots of timber.
