I've spent about the last month (since Thanksgiving) through Christmas Eve fishing Atkins. Water temps during that time have hovered somewhere in the 50's and fishing has been pretty consistent around Lucky Landing. Haven't been on it since the flooding rains came but got a report from a friend that went Thursday morning. He zeroed and said water temps had dropped to around 48*. Curious if his lack of success had more to do with high water and water clarity or if we should start hunting a different part of the lake due to water temps. On lakes such as Atkins, where should the fish be holding or moving to now with temps sub 50*. I had been catching them 10-13 fow in the cove and thought that pattern would hold. Do they now move out from the coves and hold more in the main lake ?
