I'd rather catch 6-10 single polin' than I would a 30 fish limit by most any other method... Especially thumpers like those !

Me too. Never have understood why anyone would want to spider rig or troll (regardless of what they call it - push/pull). No thump, no fun. If I just want some fish, I can always buy them at the fish market.

There's times of the year that get real tough for me to catch em on a jig pole. When that happens if I get a chance to go spider riggin' with someone, I'll go since I'm not rigged up for it. I'll enjoy the heck out of every minute of it. So I'm not knocking it... There's also times of the year that I have to cast Road Runners and curly tails at em to catch em. I enjoy the heck outta that too ! BUT... When I can go and catch em' on a jig pole.... That's the Cat's Meow for me !! It's by far my favorite way to catch em' ! So I do understand the enjoyment others get fishing different methods, but single polin' is what turns me on most !
