Anyone know anything about Lake Hogue near Weiner? Thanx

Two parts - an upper and a lower with and earthen levee between the two. Lots of stumps and standing timber. AGFC stock this lake with tilapia every year. It's one of the lakes they are trying to grow a new state record bass. No improved boat ramp, just a mud, gravel one.

I only fished there on one occasion. That was during the early summer, just after the spawn. We were fishing in the deeper water around the fishing pier. We were casting jigs, but there were lots of people dunkin' minnows off of the fishing pier there (the deep water runs right up to the pier).
