Just got information on Hot Springs. What are your thoughts on Long Island Lake Resort and Country Inn Lake Resort on Lake Hamilton? Have not called them yet but do you know if they are in an area of good fishing? And it does not look like they have boat rentals. Looks like shopping is close (my wife's requirement). We are still looking around at different possibilities, have dock fishing, but in mid Feb don't know what one would expect to catch fishing off their docks? Did see that you do guide out of Long Island Lake Resort, though. Your thoughts, please. Their rates are really good off season, but if you know of something similar but better fishing prospects, your thoughts would be appreciated. I plan on only catch and release as far as finshing goes, and still would be interested in filling a guide trip some 'scout' action!

Hey Crappie Husker:

Both Country Inn Lake Resort and Long Island Lake Resort are good places to stay. Long Island is closer to the area on Lake Hamilton that we fish and a little closer to shopping. I don't know of anyone that rents fishing boats but there are some pontoon boats and ski boats available for rent not far from Long Island. I don't know how good fishing off the docks will be but it would be worth a try. Should be some catfish, bream and bass hanging around I would think.
