I hear today that Mustain will be taking a visit to Oklahoma. Think he will end up in Tulsa, following his high school coach again. Only problem is that in Tulsa there may not be a car dealership that Mitch could make any money at. No Stoops, no snoops.
I would not like Mitch Mustain at my school. He would be an extreme interupption to any team. His mother seems to be more meddling than Harrison Beck's mom was at Nebraska. She thought that Harrison was the Marino, Unitas, et al wrapped in one.....hey Mitch may just fit in at Sooner U!
Matter of fact, I was an aide in teaching Mr. Mustain how to throw the football, seeing how I was a full-ride scholarship QB to Oklahoma I would say he's had some fine coaching along the way. Mustain's mom is the epitimy of "should've kept your mouth shut"....however, do not discredit someone who was lied to (by Nutt)....he was promised the spread offense (which he grew up in) courtesy of Gus and they have taken that away b/c Nutt is just that....Nutt's....as for the Big Red Dealership, I would pay them too if I got the chance, are you going to tell me that boosters across the nation do not ALL do this? You are wrong if that's your belief, it happens EVERYWHERE...most just don't get caught until they are in the national spotlight. BOOMER SOONER!Quote:

It's frustrations like these that make the Hogs the laughing stock of the SEC, the prime location for recruiting, the legend and history of a school with GREAT rivalry, and known all-time for being a winning team, yet their head coach starts each season hoping for "above .500" or "a bowl game would be nice"....get REAL, if you want to win, you have to set your goals high enough to do so....like BOISE STATE for instance, =). They were not going to lose to OU, they sought out to win, not appear and be done with it. They did just that.Quote:

What year were you a full-ride scholarship QB to Oklahoma? And where did you have the opportunity to teach Mr. Mustain how to throw the football? And how did you have that same opportunity to teach him if you were at OU and he was at Arkansas? I agree that ALL boosters in D1 football (and basketball) across the nation would LIKE to do 'all this'. But the burden is on the university to police their and the NCAA's policies whether they be right or they be wrong. Some universities are good at this, some are either not so good or have a tendency to 'blink. OU has a lohg history of blinking.
