Looking good Jackie. I like small crappie because it helps save energy by taking less cooking timeand also because that is what ends up in the cooler at the end of the day.

I started crappie fishing with a friend in Stone Mountain Lake in Atlanta in the 70s. The limit was 50 per with no size restriction. Very few people fished the lake because of HP and time restrictions and it was over run with small crappie. We cleaned 100 crappie many Saturdays with most of them 6 to 8 inches. That was some of the best eating fish I had ever had.
We trolled 1/32 oz. red and white Hal Flys on 4# line, one rod apiece. Never heard of long lining and they bit so fast you couldn't fish more than one rod.
Fillets looked like Potato Chips and nobody could eat just one.
