Dr.Pepper and I built brushpiles today. Thanks Don , looking forward to catching a few slabs with you later. Slabbandit had to work so we got it done anyway. Was hoping to get more members together to put out brushpiles. Maybe we can set up a brush pile building getogather before spring.

Time willing I would love to do it. Cant wait till things settle down and we can start getting some reports up there on Nimrod. I havent seen a picture of a crappie with a pink headed jig hanging out of its mouth in months.

Poor Slabbandit must be rich cause as much as he works he cant have time to spend money.

My 'puter has just been put back on line since sometime Friday. I enjoyed learning and putting out the brush. My wife wasn't too pleased with the appearance of "her" boat and made me clean it up imediately. I told her how much you bragged on your wife and that she was never mean to you. She suggested that since your wife was so nice, maybe I could move in with you! I told her I would not impose on you that way. But, I am pretty sure my next relationship will be with a man. I can't find one of them women that You and Darryl brag about.

That's funny DrPepper! I have to be lucky or maybe God felt sorry for me after the last witch . Ha!Ha! Just remind her you get what you give. We don't argue or fight at my house cause we stick with that motto. Maybe you will work off enough demerits by spring to Crappie fish Nimrod with us. I was out there checking traps and ran my net today. The only Crappie fisherman and fisherwoman were getting a few dinks. The lake is falling about a foot per day .

Hey Don, I go home and usually the first words I get are "when are you going back to go fishing." I hate to say it but it's come to that already. LOL, LOL. Just think, she's the one that wanted me to get out of the Corps and now we live a life that is very much like it. That's okay, I smile, cuz I know I was right all the time.

Just letting everybody know I'm still around. Hate that I missed the brush building this last weekend on Lake Nimrod. We get pretty busy at work during Dec. and Jan.

I don't know of anybody that works harder at sinking brushpiles than NIMROD. He has a good knowledge of the lake and has seen the lake during several drawdowns.

Maybe we can get another date up to build a few later.

I have someone in charge of spending the money so I don't have to worry about that! And besides,the way these big ole slabs hit, I have to work to buy up a bunch more pink jigs for this year!! All the ones from last year are too badly chewed up!!!

Good to see you back there Slabbandit.:D We had a good trip putting out brush last Saturday. Hope we can get another trip planned soon. I'm stocked up on baits , as Last two years I've ordered 2400 umbrella tubes. But I let some go to locals. Pretty much have plenty of leadheads too. My fishing buddy Forrester makes them ,he sent a bunch.:D WW 's contest on the hunting forum gave me Cabelas gift to buy more . Well just waiting on the lake to get right, it's falling about 1 ft a day! When March rolls around we can dunk some Pink/white umbrella tubes. That is if mrs Slabbandit will let you.:rolleyes:

Hey Slabbandit and DrPepper , I saw a Crappie fisherman with a few yesterday. The lake was down about normal. But afraid this rain will raise the level back up . The locals have been catching a lot of smaller fish at Porter Creek bridge.:D
I started catching fish in my nets as the water went down. We had some Buffalo and three Flatheads 10 to 16 lbs each yesterday. If you fish Nimrod ,watch out someone is setting their nets too shallow. The local Crappie fishing yesterday got his motor in one.
I''ll be glad to fish Crappie after the net season closes March 1 st. If you want to fish DrPepper ,I try to help with what info I can till then.:D
