    Default Night fishing

Went night fishing last night put a led light in the water had shad and minnows come to the light. Tried throwing a cast net on them couldnt catch any. Will a long handle minnow net catch them? Do you bring minnows or catch the shad?

If you turn your light off just befor net hits water will help you catch bait. ,

I have seen gill nets that hang down and the shad get caught. It was illegal to use cast nets at night on some lakes. May have changed.
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
The sheep live in fear of the wolf but in the end it's the shepherd that eats them.
The two loudest sounds are a gun that goes click when it is supposed to go bang and
a gun the goes bang when it is supposed to go click.

Heard of small mesh gill nets being used too but figured that would be illegal ?

Saw these on Norfolk for night fishing. They were about 5-6 ft long and about 2-3 ft wide with spreaders on top and weighted bottom.Tie them off and watch as the shad get caught in the mesh. Need a few baits til the shad start swimming round. Then you couldn't throw at night.
