Can you post a pic of how your setting up the Sportbrella in your boat?
B & M has a Sharp Shooter that is nice. I think they went to 6'. Mine is 5'. It all depends on the docks your shooting. You may want to give it a try.
I have a Cumberland Adjustable Double Seat Post. I ordered an umbrella holder from them for $30 and had to drill a 3/4" hole in the center pin in the Double Seat Post for the umbrella holder. These are the only pictures I have already of the umbrella setup.Quote:

I like a short 4'6" graphite rod for dock shooting. Bass Pro's Microlite rods are hard to beat for this. After using (and throwing away!) many spincast reels, I've decided that a good quality ultralite spinning reel is the way to go; not as easy to use as an ultralite spincast, but it will hold up and you'll get a much smoother retrieve. One question for all the dock shooters out there; I've been using 4 lb. test mono line, but am thinking of trying 15 lb. braid line next fall. Has anyone used this for dock shooting?
I like the accuracy and control of my 7' Gander Mountain Guide Series Ultra Light. I am thinking about getting another one in 5' for close up shots and while sitting under Matt's 'brella!
